Each community project seeks to use archaeological sites and techniques to engage people with the heritage of the area. Sites may date from prehistory through to the World War II.
The projects may involve excavation, workshops, talks, guided walks, building recording and much more.
As a part of the Stockton Northern Gateway Townscape Heritage Scheme, Tees Archaeology are working on a cataloguing project with volunteers. This involves entering information from historic legal documents relating to properties within the Townscape Heritage Scheme area onto a form to create a digital catalogue. Volunteers working on the project can access the form here.
Tees Archaeology provides archaeological services to the people and local authorities of Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees.
